Reminders MCP

Lets an AI assistant read and change the reminders on your Mac, with nothing leaving the machine.

a blurred screen of the server source, its tool definitions and the EventKit calls behind them

Lets an AI assistant work with the reminders already on your Mac. It can read them, add them, change them, tick them off, and delete them, the same ones you see in the Reminders app on your phone.

Nothing goes to a server. There is no account, and no second copy of your data. If an assistant can see your reminders, it is because it is running on your machine.

Install

  1. Clone the repo.
  2. Create the environment and install what it needs:
python3 -m venv .venv
.venv/bin/pip install -r requirements.txt
  1. Start it:
.venv/bin/python server.py

It listens on 127.0.0.1:8002. Point your assistant at that address, and macOS will ask once for permission to use Reminders.
